After the hill the course flattens out and finishes on the school
playing fields. Mile markings
will be provided and also a water station at around half way. There will be a
car at the front of the race with a clock to lead everyone around the course. All junctions
will be marshalled and radio link up will be used. |
General Information
|
|
|
Please pin your race
number securely on your front and do not cut or fold the number in any way. Once you have finished
the race, please help us to compute the results as quickly as possibly by not
running back through the finishing funnel again if you are cheering on a
friend. Pacing any of kind
(including cycle) is not permitted and will result in disqualification. The RRC has given this
course a ‘normal’ time rating. The race is organised
under ‘AAA rules and permits’ and is also a member of the British Association
of Road Races (BARR). The course isn’t
suitable for wheelchairs and we discourage people running with dogs unless
they are guide dogs. |

Results & Presentation
|
|
|
Presentations will be
held as soon as possible after the race in the school hall. We will award trophies for the following…
|
|
|
|
Provisional results
will be displayed on our web site within a day or so. We hasten to add that these results will be
provisional and will be verified soon after.
Final results will replace the provisional results as soon as they are
ready. For anyone without
internet access, a stand will be available in the school hall for you to
write your name on an envelope provided, write your address on the front, pop
50 pence inside and your envelope left in the box provided. |
Our final plea…
|
|
|
Due to the increasing
popularity of our race we have in the past had to disappoint some runners
that turned up on the day wanting to run but who hadn’t entered. Please don’t force us to disappoint you by
asking us to run if you haven’t already entered. WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO TAKE ENTRIES ON
THE DAY AND ENTRIES WILL CLOSE ONCE OUR LIMIT OF 500 IS REACHED. |
Lastly, we hope
you enjoy the race and look forward to seeing you on the day.
Regards,
the Highworth Running Club.
